I'm too impressed to make fun of you for jumping on the blog bandwagon. (Darcy isn't even here yet and already Mike and I are lagging sorely behind in our web-parenting duties!) We're looking forward to following your adventures as you travel and as you welcome Darcy into your family.
Welcome to the blogosphere, and thanks for the shout-out! I look forward to your first liveblogged Darcy pix. Knowing the exact date your lives change forever is certainly wacky (Karen had a scheduled C-section, so it was kind of the same thing... you go to bed one night knowing it's the last one of your pre-parent lives--and the last full night of sleep you'll have for years.) Bon Voyage!
I'm having the very same compulsions as you! We travel on the 29th of this month to our son and everything is in ziploc bags! Your Darcy is adorable! Safe travels to you and your family!
People have reported problems accessing blogspot in Beijing and GZ but not the other provinces. Some have been able to get around this using proxy servers like canbrowse.com, anonymouse.org, or pkblogs.com. So hopefully one of these will work for you. I know it's hard but please don't worry! You're probably a lot more prepared than you think you are. Judi
Laurel,
In looking at your timeline, it looks like we are traveling together! We are one of the families that split off from you to head to Chongqing. Give a shout if you'd like to chat!

Oh drat, and in the rush of wanting to get a note to you ... I spelled your name wrong.
/apologies!
Happy Days to you. Enjoy your trip and meeting your little boy(of unknown size)! Ann
I'm sitting in my office in Miami bawling like a baby because I am so happy that you and Dave are going to get Mr. Darcy. This has been a long time coming, my friend, and I'm so thrilled for and proud of you and Dave. I cant wait to read of every minute of the trip in China, especially when you meet Mr. Darcy for the first time. Know that we love you guys and are praying for your journey and safe return.
Hi! We are another CAWLI family. We brought home our baby girl this time last year. If it will ease your butterflies at all, CAWLI does an AMAZING job. Our trip was everything I had dreamed it would be. I hope your journey will be as wonderful. I'll keep you in my prayers and hope you have enough zip lock bags (I, myself, brought three boxes worth).
Marilyn
ps. Darcy is such a cutie!
